Today, we took the kids to a 4-H carnival and they had a great time playing games. My favorite part was letting Joel enjoy the Petting Zoo, something we could never have done while he was on therapy because his immune system would not have been up to the challenge.
.
Also, we received a new high chair this week as a gift from a small group here in town that had been praying for Joel. Our old highchair was a $10 garage sale find 5 years ago and had been through all three boys, it was in terrible shape and Joel spends a lot of time in the highchair lately. Anyway, the new highchair is fabulous and it has wheels so Joel has spent the last ten minutes walking around pushing the highchair like an over-sized walker. He is very proud of himself and it is the most interest he’s shown in walking in a month! Joel even pushed it with Isaac sitting in it which was adorable. I’ll have to take video of this next time, but this time I was enjoying the moment too much to stop and record it. In the meantime, here are some photos from the petting zoo, and I’ll add video of the petting zoo in the next few days.

This photo really shows how much Joel’s hair has grown in the last few weeks, Ryan told me the other day that part of him wanted to shave Joel’s hair just so he “looked like Joel again.” (For the record, I couldn’t disagree more!)

praise God look how fast Joel is growing and his hair! 🙂 just love the photos of Joel at the petting zoo, he was so cute in them! Praise the Lord Amy for a clear bill of health for Joel as you go for his MRI, God is faithful. Hope you are keeping well yourself and the rest of the family, always great to hear updates. I thought Joel’s eye was looking better this week and this picture confirms it. He looks great! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see this miracle firsthand. God is sooooo good.
