Joel’s spinal tumor has responded really well to radiation. It is much smaller than it was. It is still very soon after radiation, so there are some enhancements on the mri and no one can tell yet whether they are radiation changes, some necrosis, or tumor that is still dying. (However, regardless it is a very good response.) I can say that the mood here is very up! Everyone is thrilled with the response so far. No new tumors. This MRI is not very conclusive, so it is a little hard for us to know exactly how to respond. However, we’ve come to the conclusion that in the context of what we saw in November, any non-catastrophic news is really great news! We will know much more in March when the response from the radiation will be complete. Basically, life will continue on as normal for us, (plus some at-home chemo) and lately our normal has been pretty amazing!
