Needs

May 22, 2013

Our biggest need is for you to remember us in your prayers, but when we have physical needs we will post them here. If you would like to meet one of the needs listed below please send an email to joelevangreen@gmail.com
.
5/22/2013 This isn’t a need as much as just letting you know another way you can support and bless our family.  Ryan is a video game developer, and we have spent recent months living off of our savings while he and his game developer partners create a game called “That Dragon, Cancer”  It is still being built and you can see some concept art and articles that have been written about them here.
.
02/09/2013 Clearly we have not done a great job of listing needs, but if you want to support and bless our family, please buy our children’s book inspired by Joel. “He’s Not Dead Yet.” hesnotdeadyet.com
.
03/06/10 Chest Freezer.  (Need Met on 03/08/10)  Thanks!
.
02/23/2010 – Graco infant car seat base for a second vehicle (Need Met on 02/23/10)  Thanks!
.
02/06/2010 – Chest Freezer (Need Met on 02/07/10) Thanks!
.

(More needs coming soon. We have a lot of logistics to sort out here, but we expect our needs could eventually include dinners on treatment days, cleaning help, child care for date nights when everyone in our home is well, and probably a lot of things that have not even begun to occur to me yet, but I will post them here when I figure out what we need and the best way to organize it.)

There are many, many of us scattered throughout Denver praying faithfully for your family. Please do not hesitate to call me if you guys need anything at all (a homemade meal at the hospital, an errand run, really anything at all) and someone will get it to you right away. Ryan and Amy, is there an address we can send restaurant gift cards, grocery gift cards, or perhaps drop food or anything you need (or want!) off at the front desk of the hospital? Whatever would bless you the most, please let us know how we can lift any burden (small or large).

Your faith in God has given me faith that I have not had in a long time. It has reassured me that there is a God who is out there watching over us. Thank you for helping me renew my faith. I will keep Joel in my prayers.

Have you thought about setting up a fund to help pay for medical expenses? Just looking at your website I see there are a lot of us all over the world that have taken an interest in Joel, praying that he will get better soon and want to help in some other way. I would love to help and give something more than just my thoughts and prayers.

Amy I just wanted to say that I can help in anyway possible. Kurt is coming home for 2 months so use me :) Keep in mind that I am a RN and that if Joel gets home and you need help with him ….like a babysitter that has that an RN and not afraid of tubes ect….or you and Ryan need help with that let me know. I do work in the NICU so babies are what I do best :) My prayers are with you daily and I just want to say that you and Ryan amaze me everyday and I could only hope that if something like this happened to me I would be as amazing and faithful as you are. Joel is so lucky to have parents like you. Truly wonderful!

  17. Kathy Schwader on March 10, 2012 1:03 pm

    Dear Ryan & Amy -
Not sure if you remember me, but I saw Damien (Schwader) this afternoon and he told me of the challenges your family has been faced with. First I would like to say what a beautiful family you have! oh my goodness – such beautiful kids. I was unable to email via this website, but please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. It is obvious and so wonderful to see the faith you have. Ryan – love your Daddy Art. I sat here and cried looking at those. It is amazing how powerful it is when it comes from the heart.

Please feel free to email me – and I will check back here as well.

    Luv ya,
    Kathy

Hi friends. I just saw your story on Soul Pancake and I was absolutely in tears the whole time. Your family is amazing and your faith is beautiful!! I recognized the street you were driving on in Loveland and Lee Martinez Farm. I wanted to let you know I live right near there and I wanted to get in touch with you all if there is any way I can help your family! I will continue praying for Joel and strength for you as parents. God Bless you all!

  21. Kaylie on November 24, 2013 5:13 pm

    You will get through this.

No matter the outcome, you will pull through this.

Your faith in our Heavenly Father is so amazing to me.

May you find the strength you need to carry on.

    Sincerely,

    -Kaylie E.

There is a medication that a man named Rick simpson came up with called pheonix tears. long story short he gave this away for free(using his retirement savings)but he was chased out of canada because the medication has Marajuana in it. He did however put the recipe for what he says is the cure online(pheonix tears). I dont know what your state(or provinces laws are like) but if you can make or get this it might help I cant promise it will work, but I can say my step mom has seen some success. Normaly myself I would be leary of anything called a cure BUT why would he put the recipe online for free if he didnt feel it had some merit). P.s. There is also a video documentary about a little girl named Brave mikayla that takes this and is still alive. You guys will also be in my prayers.
